Right on dude! Such a killer bike. Currently set at 160. I had it at 150 before, and even had a 120mm Shiver on it. 160 seems to feel the best for me. Might just be the fork performs better at this height. I never felt the Surge handled any different between the different travels, though. Always felt very controlled with all of them. I guess it does wander just a tiny bit more at 160, but not really noticeable.

 Nice, I have my fork at 170mm now so I will put it on there first to see how it feels. But, I have a feeling it will raise the BB a tad too much making the front feel twitchy! We will see, ahahhahah I rode the surge for about a 2 years and during that time I also had the fork at different heights. I think 140-160, is a good balance for trail riding and all around having fun!

 Haha yea would be interesting to find out what it would be like at 170. I don't think I want to go any longer, not that i can anyway without getting a new fork. I agree with you on that range. I want to try mind at 130-140 to see what it's like, but I just can't be bothered to change it right now haha.
