I'm running my velvet at 120mm. How much more of a difference would a 140mm fork make on my piglet? Think it would be worth the investment?

You know, it's hard to say. I haven't had a ride on it with it this low, so maybe once I get a ride in I'll have a better idea. Just pedaling around, everything feels the same control wise. I was at 160 before with the Vengeance, so I expect a good bit of difference on a ride. The longer fork will rise things up a bit, and slacken out the front, so it might feel a little more stable going down, which could boost confidence. I'm almost certain your Piglet wouldn't feel unwieldy or twitchy by adding 40mm. If you're getting into drops and terrain that is eating through your travel, I'd say go for the extra length.

Well I'm gonna try longer travel now hope not to lose the cornering handle, bike is like it's on rails right now. After Mr toads wild ride I started thinking more travel to make it though the rock gardens better and keep up with the fs bikes.

As well as smaller stanchions. This is the Velvet, 32mm tubes and 120mm travel. There is going to be some swapping up of parts coming if I get Steve's Stumpy EVO.

Nah, I'm making him hold it until I sell the STP for a little more cash, and the more I wait probably the better for maintaining good relations with the father. Will only be coming up with the Surge, and the Vengeance will be back on.

Haha yea I was thinking so. The thought behind it was, I wanted to see how this would do either as a shorter travel lighter weight poppy fun bike, or lighter weight mile muncher, because right now the Blue Stumpy is my mile muncher, but it will likely go to make room.

That's what I was thinking. And the Surge frame isn't that heavy compared to the Stumpy, so I should be able to get the weight down pretty good with the two wheel sets and two forks. But so excited to get on a full squish!!
