the tires don't see much wetness --- it's been somewhat rainy but, I don't ride when it's actually raining... I can't be bothered with the clean-up factor... and it's just not good for the parts, don't care how much bling you drop on a drive train -- riding in shitty conditions it a bad thing.
OK, so for post rain rides, around it dries out pretty fast so, I don't really deal with constant wetness... AND... where I ride most frequently is pretty rocky so, the wet factor is more of a moss factor than a water factor -
-- mossy covered rock is slick as a mofo no matter what tires you run. anyone tells you that XYZ tires handle slippery, mossy conditions..... RUN, cause they're smokin' crack.
I haven't really noticed that those tires do not handle wet conditions well... I never really had any issues where I couldn't get traction. I like em.. I think they're a great tire.
I often wear them for biking --- frikin great traction... best I have ever seen. I dance around on slippery rocks when I'm grooming trails. I never slip when I'm wearing those SFC shoes. I can't say the same for the bike specific shoes I have had in the past --- nothing has the gripping power those SFC's have, nothing. Best bike shoe I ever had was a pair of Lake shoes --- the sole was made by (forget the name, starts with a V.. yellow trademark logo). Those were pretty good but not as good as SFC's ----- I wish SFC made a bike specific shoe with SPD hardware.
