Uhhh well... the easiest way to explain i can think of is.... you know how a fork absorbs the hits up and down... well when your ripping down hill this takes the steering and its dampens it, much the same, so when you hit rocks n stuff,it doesnt wanna rip the bars left or right,soooo plush!!! It makes a novice rider look like a pro! Its not something you see everyday,on MTB's,but they have been using this idea for many moons on dirt bikes,etc.The beauty is... it can turned on or off, by the turn of the dial, and also anywhere in between,for light or stiff action.
