 Thats good to know mate, cheers. That cbr600rr is a nice bike, unfortunately i couldnt afford to insure one even if i wanted to though. I went on confused.com to put it into perspective. The cheapest results per year are as follows...

2004 Cbr600rr £1113
2000 R6 £928
1997 thundercat £599
1992 Vfr400 £164

 @sean-s-1991: those prices suck!
I got quotes recently for another 600 RR or gsxr at over £600 as I've not ridden for about 6 years and have lost my no claims discount Frown
My plan is to get a 2014 KTM 250 XCF or possibly EXC and go laning and MX tracks and supermoto wheels for the summer, quotes for those bikes were £164 Smile Much more to my liking! Waaaap

 yeah and in that vid i'd say the nc30 guy is the better rider. nc30/thundercat probably equal smiles mate Smile and in 10 years the nc30 will be worth serious money and the thundercat won't

 Nice, I had a NC23 CBR400 as my first then a CBR 600rr 04 which was really nice, had to sell it for house deposit though Frown

 Whats a sports 400 like to ride compared to a 600? Im looking to buy a vfr400 nc30. Ive always wanted one, and also because the insurance on the r6 costs a fortune

 @sean-s-1991: The NC23 is an inline 4 so would probably have a slightly different characteristic than a NC30 but a mate of mine had an NC30 back in the day and loved it. I loved the pronounced powerband on the NC23 which brought everything to life at 12,000+rpm. Power on the RR was more linear but completely different animal.
Older bikes are more compact and the power between my RR and NC23 was night and day but that said the 400 was a lovely little bike and a great ride.
Depends what you want from it, your R6 would smoke an NC30 but the NC30 is probably THE classic 400 for good reason.

 Looks like the vfr does a good job of keeping up, the r6 pulls away from it but the vfr makes up for that in the corners, still fairly impressive performance on the hondas part considering theres nearly 50hp difference... Im guessing the rr is tuned to the same sorta power as the r6, so what id like to find out is how much of a step down would an nc30 be from a 95hp 600cc bike like my thundercat..? tup
