anodizing was done with electricity. The cathode was a bit too small in relation to the gear, thats why its not a uniform color. I quite liked the result, so i just rolled with it.
Alloy is 6al-4v.

Super cool! I didn't think you could get that kind of color gradient with electrical anodizing... I need to experiment!

@SB66: thanks! Yeah, most of the time it's hit or miss when anodizing Ti. Thats why I don't generally offer elec. anodizing when I sell a gear. Unless you anodize things together, it's almost impossible to get two things to come out the exact same color.
