Teaching the boy to ride on training wheels. All going good but he is not too keen on pedalling ( like his Dad) . Any dads out there with some tips on how to get him churning ???? Most important thing is he loves it

Thanks for the advice . Will put trainers on his kick bike too.
He has a plastic trike with pedals on front and rides it hard but front wheel has lost tread so he wheel spins . He is only new to it but I'm sure he will get there. Thanks bro

Oh no sorry, on the kick bike no trainer just let him kick and find his balance point.
I meant they rode the kick bike and rode a bike with trainers but once they were kicking and balancing they started only riding their pedal bikes without trainers.

Yep i get ya. We go on holidays tomorrow so when I get back I'll chuck him on. Problem is he rides for a little bit then gets off to play with trees and stuff haha

Thats all good, all you can do is teach by example and if he follows he does, if not let him play in the trees! hahahahahah
Jax is now really into rugby, he is doing great!
We can't ride much but we did get out for 2 rides together last week!
He said it was super fun riding again!

Both Sarah and Jax learned on the kick bike and training wheels.
We would go to the park and they would follow me, once they got the balance down and speed on their kick bike they wanted to pedal along and the training wheels weren't necessary any longer. Just go slow and easy and play games like follow the leader but really let him lead, he will love it! First you be the leader and just do stupid silly things they have to mimic, then let him lead and he will want to try and make you do sill things. Don't worry brother, biking come natural and he will soon take it at his own pace!!
