Well, I'm an idiot. Took the wife's bike in for some work because I couldn't get the brakes set properly, which actually turned out to be dead calipers. So got new brakes and loaded the bike in to the truck and didn't I forget to put the front wheel in and I RAN THE DAMN THING OVER with the truck. Right over the center hub and brake disk. It even hauled a chuck of pavement out of the parking lot, strangely the same size as the axel hole, next to the disk. But while the $70 disk is completely wrecked, the wheel itself is still straight and true. Gotta hand it to Mavic for creating some seriously tough wheels and perhaps a bit of luck on my part. It was a 2004 Mavic CrossMax wheel. Incidentally, that is a BRAND NEW IceTech disk...never ridden.

I usually use the shuttle pad, but it was raining hard so I opted to use the fork down mount in the back of the truck so the bike wouldn't get so dirty. Didn't even think of the fronty wheel after loading it. I was lucky.
