@dirtyrig: its a cedar box wrap like 40’ tall... of course they took top position so I have to build sketchy scaffolding just to get to it... i fear if I wrap it in copper plate they will just drop down a foot and peck away... for now they are guests... rappataptapping on the stove pipe inside
@sterlingmagnum: Buy or make a few woodpecker bird houses and place them 20+ feet from the home. That worked for keeping my woodpeckers from making a home in my siding, but they still put holes in the cedar siding if they find carpenter ants or carpenter bees holed up in the wood, which are just more a*sholes making a home in my siding! So the a*sholes putting holes in my house are eating the other a*sholes putting holes in my house, there is no way to win.
@sterlingmagnum: oh man I forgot about this and it may help you. Actually the best woodpecker deterrent sofar has been hanging wind chimes around my house near where there was woodpecker activity, woodpeckers seem to hate the sound of wind chimes. I like the sound of wind chimes so that was pretty cool.
Woody woodpecker cartoons are the best, thank god for brick houses
