The bike itself is horribly designed. 8"(+) of travel on a 2.0" stroke shock? It's no wonder why they have to use two shocks to make the bike perform marginally well with a 1:4(+) leverage ratio...
The two brakes are becuase the there is not connection between the two legs of the forks. This allows for mor travel but could be flimsy. Having a brake on each side of the wheel prevents asymetrical braking force that would normaly twist the fork.
the reason it has to front discs is because once you reach a high speed downhill your rear brake can be almost useless and it will take more power in the front to help you..but anyways really sweet bike
hmm. didn't a certain someone who used to ride for Rocky mountain end up with this company... someone correct me if i'm thinking of someone else. Is this in production or a proto?
how much would this bike go for, and why is there no guard for the shock since it is so close to the tire. I am sure that it would get nailed like crazy with mud and rocks.
The front brakes are more effective, because that is your conventional direction of travel. Roll backwards and magically your rear brake is the stronger one.
there was some info about this richi bike that it weighs about 30-35 pounds and it costs 11 000 euros, i do not know if it is true, but it looks sick thou!
Cool concept, poor execution
