Probably has something to do with the 100mm stem you have on there. Anyway the geometry on the old Enduro HT frames wasn't anywhere near the same as the P bikes. The only thing they really had in common was the hydroformed top tube and the type of aluminum used.

I was told by a Spesh dealer that this was the "predecessor of the P-Bikes" due to that hydroformed TT, I defenately know the geo is diff . The stem is a 90x10,. anyways,. now I have a 50mm Holzfeller on it now. Along with a rigid fork that has xtra gusseting in the crown area and disc tabs. It has "Landing Gear" decals on it but Im not sure it is an authentic SE Racing product.Did they make a 26" fork? I saw one on Big's bike(26" PK Ripper) from the show "Rob and Big". I nabb'd it off EbaY for $54 shipped. This is just one of my bikes,.Ill soon have 5 Spesh when my 2004 Enduro SX 4X frame gets here,.YAY!~!

Yeah, SE made a 26" Landing Gear fork. In fact they make a complete 26" bike these days.

The Specialized dealer gave you correct information, however it's a predecessor in spirit only. The P bikes had way shorter chainstays and longer top tubes, as well as a more sloped top tube (I'm not telling you anything you don't already know) and were definetly more suited to the type of riding you seem to want to do on your Enduro HT. You might consider finding an old P.3 or P.2 frame in size Long and setting it up with the parts you have on your HT.
