Check your rules about bike set-up for 4X. I think you have to have a minimum of 3 gears to be legal to race...I could be wrong but look into it. I put on a shortened cassette (5 cogs 11t-15t), derailleur and shifter for Mountain/4X. Single speed for Cruiser BMX.

where are there 4x tracks in the lower mainland? I just bought a .243 bike that i plan on using for 4x but don't know where to ride. If you could tell me where some tracks are that would be awesome!

There are races all over the place throughout the year in BC. During the winter there is the indoor 4X race series at the Abbotsford BMX indoor track. Here is a link to the info on the Race Series.

You bet! I have raced a Hardtail MTB for 8 out of the ten years I have been racing Cruiser. (I was given a cruiser by my sponsor the 2 years I didn't use an MTB)

It's so fun to whoop the guys at big races on it, they always talk shit about the mountain biker, and then go, "so is that bike pretty light?" after I kill em on it!

The bike looks so small for you, isnt it?

It is the perfect for me. I am 5'10" and it has a 21.5" TT. Anything shorter and I will hit my knee on the top of the fork leg.
