I'm surprised a rider with a spec like this would be sporting the good ole Mavic D521s! Any reason why? I've heard they're strong, I'm infact rolling with them myself but obviously havn't tested them to there full...

They're the same as the current 721 rim... No reason why I picked them.... Super sick rim though.

Haha nice, I woulda chosen the new ones purely because I love the look of them! I was after a set of the new ones myself, but I had the option of two of them, or one of the new ones... That's an obvious answer...

Did you have a problem mounting on your LG-1 chainguide? I want to buy one but I hear of bad bad stories damaging Glory DH frames with LG-1's

It was a none issue. The guide itself is pretty weak though.

I ran the regular backplate, but the wide isn't a bad idea.
