hard to help you out mate - living back in Australia - but I'll do my best. I was living in Glenwood Springs for about 3 weeks in May 2007 - a while ago now. But I can remember heading through the main part of Basalt and taking a turn to the Left soon after (if heading towards Aspen). There is a well known walking track in the area too. Hope this helps.
