It's 2-1/2" wide (1-1/2" front).
I machined a pair of them over 7 years ago from 1x3" bar-stock. I put the other one on my "Drag Bike" project (see my other projects), and thought the second one would look good on this. It's as wide as I can go with "standard" component chain-lines.
