The Oakley DRT5 Trial/Enduro Mnt. Bike Helmet offers great performance, at a reasonable price IMHO.

• It is Billed as a “Do-it-all” Trail/Enduro Helmet, the DRT5 MIPS has very good head coverage, with a durable in-mold construction, and a MIPS liner to protect your head. I REALLY like the unique silicone brow pad design that effectively manages sweat and keeps it off your glasses, and face. I sweat profusely, and I can attest that the system actually works!

• It has very minimal padding, yet it didn’t seem to be too uncomfortable both trying it on in the store and on my first use. Having said that, his “Kalbo” (Shaved head), added some bicycle helmet padding to make it even more comfortable.

• The helmet also features a 360-degree Boa fit adjustment system, a well-designed profile of the frame, and well-designed straps allowing excellent, and comfortable room/spaces, for glasses. More so than my Fox Proframe helmet.

• It features a very adjustable visor for goggle compatibility, those I will most likely wear glasses, not goggles with this helmet. but I used the lower three positions to keep the sun and tree branches out5 of my face.

• At 440g, the DRT5 is considered 20-45g heavier and significantly less ventilated than other top-rated models. I think that is more of an “On paper” concern, as once on your head, it doesn’t “feel” heavy. That is compared to my BatFox, and at least at the store compared to the Fox Speed Pro, and Fox Dropframe Pro, and of course, it is way lighter than the Fox Proframe - Full face helmet, which is one of the lightest Full Face - DH/Enduro Mnt. Bike helmets that you can get. I am very happy with this purchase,

Beyond that, this is an interesting helmet with unique features such as the integrated Eyewear “Landing Zone” that secures your glasses on the helmet.

• My only complaint so far is that the satin finish shows, scuffs and oil/sweat from your hands.
