your gonna snap the swing arm cuz i did the same thing to mine, put a bigger shock in there and it just buckeled

it's not the original swing arm from the 4x4
it's the longer one from the dh VPS or VSP? frame
the whole rear end has bin redone

i have norco vps frame all my life and thats not a different swing arm thats the stock one for that bike, and the norco swing arms are all the same besides the drop plates

well i still have the original swing arm that came with the frame and the one thats on is defiantly from the vps and is tougher and longer than the stock one that was one it originally

any ways this was a scraper that was a project it has bin tested many time works fine
and if it breaks.well then it breaks. you can break any frame if you try hard enough!!!!
