ya i was just wondering becuase I heard they are heavy bikes but quiet and smooth, and i was looking to get one

It's not a heavy frame. Before i had a Santa Cruz super 8 - this was heavy :-)!
Buy it and you will love it... Great suspension, a really nice bike!!!
