sam hill would definately love your bb height, now i am not an engineer, just getting back into riding so forgive my dumb questions but, that to me looks like a refined dw link, or very similar to how one works so why would chain growth be an issue?

actually after reading the other guys posts i think i misunderstood pulleys, i beleive you guys are talking about tensioners, if thats the case i understand now,

ha ha, refined DW, I like you! - its goal isn't quite the same as the DW though, but in essence it shares the similarity of having 4 pivot points along with many many bikes out there

yeh, the new version I'm working on may not have split chainstays and the top links will be 1 piece too; there's gonna be lots of other refinements to stiffen things up. Also, the whole linkage has been lowered to so we're gonna try it without a pulley as there's less chain growth now

how are you going to minimize chain growth?now it looks that chain stretches very much? nice model though.

dude nice desigonalthough chain stay need some work to minimized chain grouth or just ad some pulleys to keep it tight

... yeh, I think pulleys may be in order! - or just a long cage mechSmile

What is the geometry of the frame (ht angle, bb height etc)
  • 0 0
approximately 16" effective seat-tube length, with a pretty short 45½" wheelbase and a bb height just below 14" - this model drawn will be the 6ft peoples version (small/medium), I'm gonna work on a larger geometry for bigger riders with the new version too.

h'tube angle is 65º, I kinda refined the geometry to be better suited to handling well in techy or steeper dh courses, but so it will still perform good on fast and flowy courses too

a certain symbol doesn't work on this website - its the sub-6ft peoples versionlol
