The chainstay had to be that long to maintain the parallelogram design.
i never expected to get it this far, i never thought i'd ride it, so i didn't give the geometry any thought, i built it as a lesson in frame building. i was more surprised than anyone when it turned out i could bolt a load of spares on and go riding...
in the end, i raced this bike in the 2006 megAvalanche. it was awesome!
The second prototype is out there somewhere in my photo's (big white bike), that's a lot better. it's a bit heavy though, so i'm building another new one.

hi Tim - the way i see it, the sidekick i used wanted to fly, i just gave it wings. or some such rubbish. c'mon! there's a factory in taiwan making thousands of sidekick frames. the world can afford to lose one. this is the ultimate custom DMR.
