No just asking as i need to buy a new rear hub. Whats the difference between them, all i can tell is there the same. Can you make me any wiser of bike builder extraordinaire?
the saint style hub doesn't have any thread inside the axle chamber.. So that effectively can just spin freely... The bolt on type has thread, and so uses bolt to grip the frame. Thing is, the bolts aren't very long, and ofcourse doesn't go all the way through the hub.. Therefore it 'maybe' weaker than the saint. Also, the saint one you can just undo one nut and pull the axle out. The bolt type, you need to unscrew them both for any quick adjustment and repairs...
Either would work fine, but if your not bothered about weight, go for the saint type
