yeh..oh well the frame really does more than make up for it....like that shock, they can easily get away with it because they're suspension design is so amazing.... And yeh retail is like 4500~ish
the commencal is pretty much the perfect single pivot, no brake jack or pedal bob, they are great for single track and tech but suck on on open bumpy stuff. i personaly am in love with my marin, it does everything the commencal did but better
It tracks fucking amazingly, but its not hard to put in the air, it wants to fly, but when its on the ground it eats it all up, the suspension feels great, even when u bottom it feels endless. So stable in the air and the ground, when you jump you dont need to do much, just go fast and fly....
The downfall is how long it is, makes hipping harder, hard to twist around turns and such, makes DH-dropping harder...but its worth it. The bike is magical...
Nah dude the commy is sick on the bumpy stuff....u gotta have it set up PERFECTLY though,
and there is a little bob...but not much. When you stand up and hammer it doesnt bob much
hmm weird...but i guess different bikes with difs purposes....
Actually one of the best things on my bike is the Drop on B-Line to right hand berm into step up...call me a loser but i love that bit lol
lol its flow on ltos of bikes, my point was that berm is filled with braking bumps and im accelatating through it..
another highlight of the bike, it fucking pumps every bump naturally. u accellerate as long as ure going forward and not braking.
Lol I know, Im broke right now though And im not even riding the commy....frames just sitting in my room. and The rocco is a really nice shock, i definitely prefer it over the DHX on my Jamis
just a word of warning dude, cover your swingarm if you haven't already
