Apparently I could use it as a weapon(because the 6" switchblade I legally carry with me at all times isn't a weapon lol), or if I crash into someone I could hurt them(cuz a 40something pound bike doesn't at all hurt when it hits you).

the plastic actually doesn't really do much aside from hold everything together... it's the foam stuff that absorbs impact and protects your dome
