Don't get new cranks man. Stylo's are sick (they are stylos right?). They're intended for XC/AM but I bought mine FOR dj/street haha. they're holding up fine. but micro gear would be sick. which you can do with those cranks. 22-10, 24-12, 26-12, 26-13. just mount it on the granny ring, check mine out.

yea they r mine r just bending, and scraping the frame at times, its not a problem yet. i am seriously thinking about getting the new velvets...3.35lbs cuz my pikes are really soft and kinda hevey
  • 10
Ahh, I gotcha. Mine were super soft, then I upgraded to the X-Firm spring. Only like $40 i think, and really easy to install yourself. but they are a little soft still, i do weigh 180lbs though. i was thinking about velvets but i think they might just have too much flex in them. keep in mind they have a 15mm version now so that may have fixed the problem. and yes pikes are heavy. 426's weigh in at about 5.6 lbs

yea well im not sure what pikes i have all i know is that i got the money and to drop like 2 pounds sounds nice for me. and im really light like 120 ish so im not about to break velvets pus i dont ride too hard
  • 10
yeah man, go for the velvets, definatly. what front hub are you running? if it's a pro2 get the 15mm velvet

evilrydr, we have the 09 sylos which are much stiffer than pervious models Big Grin because before i bought mine i read review adn everyone who owned 07s and below complain of to flexy
  • 10
ahh, i see. i have '08 stylos though. same design though.
  • 10
yeah but i have no idea how the hell you got that small chain ring on yours
  • 10
Okay, so you have the holes for your 32t chain ring or w/e right? even closer together on the inside of the crank there are 4 more holes, but only one sided. It's called a granny ring mount.
  • 10
i dont really see the point in a tinny chain ring unless your doing a bunch of disaters
  • 10
cause it looks sick... haha and loses a tad bit of weight.
  • 10
those bit are filled in on the 09s Frown
  • 10
Oh, Frown that sucks. I guess you're stuck with the 32t.
  • 10
 i like my 32t Razz
but idk how well its gunna ride if i get 24s and shorter cranks
  • 10
you'll need to get a harder gearing. such as 32-14 or even 32-12 depending how hard you want it. could even get away with 32-15 if you wanted to.
