...................................................................................streeeeeeeetttttttt...........................im stealing all of it.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Why do I have a BMX That thing is f*ckable!
Yeah I just found out then, they are. Means running mech brakes though ;/ I guess its all I'm used to so it wouldn't be that bad Now to find an 08' frame cheap. I'm in financial difficulty haha
3 26's yes, 2 BMX's, a Chopper and a beater bike. 7 bikes I guess. I have a problem, but I guess this is better than being addicted to crack. Probably more expensive than crack.
You aren't my accountant (and you never will be with that attitude). Your jealousy is so transparent. I waste my money on what makes me happy. I don't want money, I want to ride my bicycles, that is all.
Thanks dude, and they are 165mm so my tire will clear my monster feet. And before anyone can toss in a "that will be too easy to pedal", I adjusted my gear ratio accordingly. Everything will be spot on with this build (in June lol). For now temporary wheels.
Fork: Argyle 318 lowered and painted black (temporary until the Fox is lowered and painted) Rear Wheel: Temporary AtomLab laced to 721 DT Swiss spokes. 2.1 SB8 ......Will eventually be a 721 laced to Rotary with a 1.9 SB8 Front Wheel: PIMP Rim with 2.1 SB8 ......Will be 721 laced to Rotary 20mm with 2.1 SB8 BB: Whatever, but with the nice Fit Gold Spacers Pedals: MG-1 Bars: NS District Stem. Fit DLD temp. Primo Aneyerlator when Fox blah, blah, blah. Kink Lightest Bar Ends Brake: Size 13 DC's for now.......Avid Elixir CR later. (Ti bolts) Chain: KMC 710 SL with Knight Gum Drop tensioners. Cranks: Demolition Medial LT 2.0 with Ti Spindle (and bolts) Seat: KINK Pivotal, Primo post.
I'm hoping for sub-25 lbs in June, but I won't be weighing it until it has it's proper wheel set. Probably 26-27lbs for now. I can't wait to ride it!! (Saturday if I'm lucky).
A guy who is going to be running 22-10 in June. They are black on a black frame, it will just clean up the dropouts. This bike will be fat for the first bit of it's life anyways. Thanks Sherbet.
Thanks buddy!! LOL Vajesty!! Once I have had it for a while I am going to paint the writing to say "Vajesty" on my frame permanently. It's quite the easy fix. Cheers.
just a little bit of my opinion: some white graphics near the dropouts of the lowers would be appropriate given that there are graphics all over the headtube, seat and cranks
your spec has all the parts i'd want *jealousy* cept i'd go for a different fork (black float 36 lowered to 80)
You and I are on pretty much the same page for my Fox paint job. I will make you proud!! I would love to get a Float, but don't want to shell out the cash for another Fox.
ETA for the Rotary hubs and my new District bars is sometime in June, but I will temp build it up this weekend. I refuse to weigh it until it's properly weight weenied.
At the risk of sounding lame, I like that they match, it will look sweet. 2 grams and $20 are both insignificant to me. I appreciate you looking out for my wallet though Sherb. You're a good man!!
only things i'd do differently from reck though, are slightly longer cranks, a point one racing stem (black) with the ns proof bar (black), and no tensioners (i'd rather just torque the hell out of my bolts, as i do now with an 8 mm allen key)... who knows, maybe i'll be able to build one in... a few years!
The short cranks were very intentional and I really look forward to trying them out. If I hate them, they can always be replaced. I will probably need my DLD stem for height for now with the Argyle (very short steerer). I will never run and bar or stem over 22.2 (BMX forever!!). I love tensioners on my bikes. I have them on my little bike and they are the shit. I am not worried about them for now, but when it's micro-drive, I will be wanting them for sure.
Trend whore comment of the century: The writing on the Rotary and the Majesty match perfectly. My bike has a very obvious colour (and graffiti) scheme and I am trying to stick to it. Noob nothing lol!!
i bought them to go with the rigids i bought, i run spacers but thats only because i cant be bothered to cut it down (will do when i get a new stem). Im like 5'10/5'11 and still growing
The T-Bird wasn't originally intended to be a permanent build, but I loved it so much I decided to keep it rolling. I am trying to have all my 26's rolling without having to swap parts. It's expensive lol.
There's the temporary specs and the final specs (in June). For now, Temp 721 with AtomLab (spare) hub, Argyle (until the Fox is painted and hopefully lowered), SB8's, and so on.......
