can u post some blue prints for it

Sorry, no. You can get a pretty good idea from the photo, though.

Nice solid structure there. Have you done any follow-up to track how long these last and where they fail?

I built a similar set about 5 years ago... Besides a little rust around the fasteners they are fine. The lumber twisted a little with age and a small wedge under the corner of one of the bottom rails is now required to make it sit flat. They have been outdoors near the sea for their whole life.

Any idea of the frequency of use? Would be cool to build a life-cycle model for these kinds of things. Good for cost equations, hehe

All day everyday during the summer and on the weekends in the winter months. Something like 30 uses per day over the whole year?? I'll look into it.
  • 10
Pretty high use frequency in other words. How fast do you expect something like this to become out of date, where it is not considered fun anymore?

Thanks man! They function really well too! www.bikeparkitect.com

Looks great. How many $ do you need to build something like that?
  • 10
You mean if I were to come and build you one? Or are you just interested in knowing about the materials?
  • 10
Im interesed in knowing about materials, becouse I want to build my own.
  • 10
All told it was about 300 euros for everything including the wood and fasteners.

wow nice, are these actually in Genova somewhere?
  • 10
Thanks man! They are 10 Kms from Genova in a place called Arenzano... its a private park though; but the fence is not so high!
  • 10
Oh yeah I know Arenzano, who owns the place? because I go to Italy for the whole of my summer holiday and i'm looking for a place to ride
