hey i was wondering does the chain guide help the chain not to clank around?

Kind of, it'll be the derailler clanking against your frame usually, But the chain guide 'guides the chain' so when you change gear, the chain doesn't move of the front chain ring aswel, if your riding with one that it.

That is the 2006 'Kona Stuff'. I have 160mm travel up front (which is shouldnt have - stress on the head tube) and its fine. If you run 100mm like i used to. Its just as good. Shit frame for Street though.
