well...the bottom bracket practically seized so it had to come off, but as i later found, i had got paint on the thred, which ment i could not get it off, i mean no matter what. i got a bit pissed off to say the least, and well you can see what happened!

 how did you do it without breaking the frame?

 luck i guess, did have to retap it

 I've had this same hiatus with Profile 3-pc chromo's with the euro BB.

 cups were siezed in the frame.
