some are scratches, but the detailed part on the downtube is different..

I used a tool very similar to this, I Think it may have been about a 2" size though.

the Red you see in the frame, thats the origional powdercoat...

the orange was the next color I painted it.. there was some white spray here and there, even some blue on the headtube... I went crazy with the spray can... Then the brown... You can see my bike painted all brown with orange wheels in my photo album.. I then took the wire brush to the thing (attached to a drill of course) and went to town on it. The harder you push, the more paint comes off, and I just sorta had fun making swirls in the paint n stuff after I noticed that the design that came out looked very similar to fire... My origional intent was to raw the frame completely, but after seeing what was underneath I ended up keeping it that way and so far I love it. You can try it out, paint your bike a few different colors, spray some colors in one spot some in another, test it out, be creative and see what you come up with. You can use any color to do this and its totally different. My bikes always get beat to shit anyways and paint gets chillped fast so its also a way to sorta not even notice you get new scratches haha
