3/8 axle + 14mm dropout + peg shim + 14mm chain tensioner = WIN!!
This took a bit of head scratching, but I wanted a tensioner on the T-Bird. Mission accomplished.
100%. I put it on backwards because there is no other way this would work. There is a 3/8 to 14mm shim between the nut and the tensioner. The tensioner and dropouts are 14mm while the axle is 3/8. This is the only way it would all work together. This is not how I normally put on a Gum Drop. This was pure jimmy-rigging.
Ok, it took me a long time to figure out what you meant by backwards here. Ok, yes they are technically on "backwards" but it is because I found they worked better like this when I was running 12 tooth with them. I am just in the habit of putting them on this way now. Meh, a spacer is a spacer. You are technically correct though.
