they're awesome. not to say that other forks ive tried are jittery (jrT's,888's) but wow are these ever smooth. Travel feels endless, and the adjustments are in perfect working order.I do think that the integrated stem would be a good set up tho.

 i have the stock '07 888rcv off this bike and i like shiver way more. they are amazing.and parts for them arnt as hard to find as you might think.your reason for upgrade could affect your choice,but if your looking for more travel and unmatched smothness the shiver would be an awesome choice.

 the shiver is an amazing fork I've ridden some of the "best feeling forks" like fox 40s and boxxer WC and I'd take the shiver over any of them

 im trying to upgrade my fork at the moment i have a 05 888vf and i was wondering if i should get a shiver or somthing a little newer
