? Whats the point of rail design when its connected to two pivots, the first design no piviots. I know that the head of the shock moves forward but what is the benifit of this?

it allows them to control the way the suspension ramps. by the angle of the shock not changing very much it allows it to be more linear and have more function with the shock as well as adjustability
a c'mon allows shmallows. This is their way to offer something different to the market, now whether it's good or not is not is an issue to think about for the potential buyer. And so far Yeti finds pretty a lot of buyers, even if prices go bananas. In this particular design the rail makes the link able to rotate, therefore push the shock. Otherwise this single pivot swingarm wouldn't swing aaay? If someone wants to buy it we are not going to shot him/her, are we?
