 I was going to ask if it was steel... but that would be dumb having a raw steel frame because of rust, unless it is!?

 ugh...it is Cromo frame and it cant rust because it has clear coat on it.

 Sounds good to me, I ask because (1. to annoy you with another question) and 2. because I have a steel frame raleigh rigid 29er xc bike and places where I have cable rub is places where it's starting to rust. I should have figured there was a clear coat, thanks for the insite.

 Yup..any old clear coat would work......I used matte clear coat so the bike wouldnt be as shiny.
