The camera I took this with is a Canon Powershot Pro1. It's a mid level mode, and I bought the lens for it.

In the mid to late 80's BMX was declared dead. All the big corporations pulled out and the money stopped coming in. Lots of companies were trying different things and gimmicks to try and jump start the scene and sales. One of the "better" idea's was the "Bashguard". The ads were pretty cool for BMX back then. Imagine doing a feeble grind on your sprocket. This was also the period where street skateboarding was making it's way in, and grinds and slides were the rage. The Bashguard was literally one of the first attempts at gearing a BMX bike towards street riding. Hare had two bikes, the Master, and The Sport. Both had bash guards integrated into the frame. This was the GT version.
