 well on auto its going to meter the light at a PERFECT exposure. So that could mean f 16.... ISO 100.... and shutter speed at 1/100... Thats even if its noon. and shooting at a speed of 1/100 will get you blurry images like this one. So, in Manual you can compensate whatever settings you need to, keeping your shutter at the speed you want to achieve the affect your going for. Sharp, or motion blur. Remember that exposure doesn't revolve around shutter speed. It does have a big part of it but theres ISO aperture and metering mode... I dont know man, the best way to learn right now for you is to just switch it to manual and just have fun with it.

 your going to get ten times the quality though if you figure it out with manual settings and focus rather than just putting it in auto or "sports" mode. all these pictures have potential but most are kinda fuzzy man

 it doesn't matter cause when you pu it on PB, they'll just f it up, but geesh taylor you sound like a smart kid. Someday you'll have to show me around my camera.
