my '07 stab deluxe was like that in 1st gear on a long cage mech, it has since snapped and i now have a SS saint on it tho, which doesn't bring the cage all the way forward in 1st gear =/

Same chain length (obv coz it's a short cage is why it isn't bring forward)

 but you could just rotate the changuide

 on this pic you probs cud, but the raceface guide on my '07 when fully rotated to slacken it, it was still quite tight
