don't skid with that tire or youll have small block 4 i think the intense micro knobby is a better tire
  • 1 0
I wont, i wanna keep em grippy, and to bad no one in Toronto sells Intense micro knobby.
  • 1 0
Yeah, if you skid with the Microknobby you just have a huge heavy slick tire. So...

ha ha ya well said i think if i'm going to get a new tire it will be for the front, C.R what do you recommend as a lightweight tire?
  • 1 0
Specialized Rhythm Lites are basically light Holy Rollers, even made by Maxxis. I run one on the front, it more than gets the job done. I'd run one on the rear if it fit my frame better.

how much do they sell for and what sizes do they come in?
  • 1 0
actualy i just found some and they seem to weight like 508g's or so, dont the kenda small block eights weight less?
  • 1 0
Retail $60 each, 2.3". Definitely not for everyone but IMO the perfect street/dirt front tire. edit - They weigh around 600g each. They're a LOT thicker than SB8s (better flat protection), weigh less than 2.3" SB8s, and last waaaaaaaay longer.

tru, if there thicker it'll be good in case i rub them out doing footjams and such

Think pinch flat and glass protection too. But yeah, the tread lasts FOREVER too.

haha ya, that's happened to me before. i hate glass shards! does CORE sell em? if not where can i purchase them?
  • 1 0
I ordered mine through Core, but from Cycle Solutions on Parliament. You can get them from any Specialized dealer.

Wow, that's the sickest KHS DJ series bike I've seen.
  • 1 0
Haha, thanks, None of it is orriginal cept the back wheel and frame, to be honest, KHS are like cheap bike's that you can pimp out really well because everything needs to be upgraded...
  • 1 0
Yeah I know, I ride KHS as well. 06 DJ 50 and an 09 Lucky 7 with nothing stock on both of them.
  • 1 0
Dammmm you make some nice KHS's, you build them nicely, Well only one more upgrade with this and i think im done, the back wheel white...!
  • 1 0
Haha thanks man. All my money goes towards my bikes, but now I think i'm just about done with upgrading both, so now the only thing to upgrade are my skills.
  • 1 0
hahaha, Same thing with me! every dollar i earn practically goes towards my bike, I'm practicably broke because of all the upgrades.
  • 1 0
Yeah I'm broke because of my bikes and college right now lol. It sucks.
  • 1 0
and weighing in at ? nice khs
  • 1 0
Not 100% sure but. when i put it on a digital scale for like people, i got different results like 29-31 and when i put it on a dial scale i got 30, so i'm guessing 30lbs or so
  • 1 0
so not much improvement from stock
  • 1 0
Well weight wise yes and no, the frame and rear wheel is just very heavy its whats bringing it up the most, but the the frame snapped so im going to upgrade possibly to a NS Majesty. And hopefully ill replace the rear wheel after
