It's AWESOME having the hard case, you can sling it around everywhere and not worry, put it in the back of a truck, etc. Almost had it hit today filming for the ski park when some dumb-ass there rolled a 2' diameter tree round down the trail at like 20mph, but it probably would have been fine. The Nikon in the backpack however...

 Not made by Pelican, it's made by "PortaBrace", but it's the same general idea: waterproof, shock-absorbant, etc. I'm going to make the pockets ASAP.

 Yeah, it does. And for sure I'll squeeze everything in there real tight, that's why I'm waiting for everything to come. I'll also make sure there's room for a shotgun mic for the camera just in case.

 yeah for shit like the filters 1. get a filter case 2. have them (the case) vertical. And no need to put the cords in there so leave them at home.

 Yeah, I'm going to put the filters in vertical, but leave them out of the cases they came in because they are really big and don't securely hold the filters. I'm going to make little slots for each filter and then line them with lens-cleaning cloth instead. And I'm not going to make slots for the cables, I just put them on there for the shot. If I need to bring the cables somewhere I can just set them in there and close the lid. I'll post a pic of everything in the case when I do that.
