i have that bike, i think it rides really nicely, all except the forks (suntour xcm v2) which im hoping to replace soon. with my new single speed kit which i think is the same as this one (the pic) it looks awsome and jumps a dream because its so light, even my mate who ownes a specialized p2 sed that he prefers to jump my giant. great bike if ur on a budget too Big Grin

yeah the forks are shite hah. also the bb went on me and the wheels started to f*ck up coz the spokes came really lose and stuff. that all happened after about 11 months. i was planning on changin that though so it was all good Big Grin oh and the brake went on me loads of times but now ive a hydraulic. so yeah for the 1st few months its great but then it starts to f*ck up. but then again its a cheap bike so the stock parts arent going to last long
  • 10
oh iv not had any of those problems yet, but iv onnly had the bike for 4 months, im replacing most of the parts any way hopefully before they f*ck up on me. Big Grin

how much is that whole bike worth and how much have you put into it so it looks like it dose noww?
  • 11
cheers man , ive put about 800-1000 into it but id say its worth about 5 or 600
  • 10
oh alright hahah they're like 700mm right? so i guess you like narrowish bars
  • 10
yeah there 700 , and nah its not that i like narrowsih bars , just the ones that came with the bike were 640 so just kind of hard to get used to the change cause ive never ridden with bars that wide before
  • 10
i went from like 580 to 690 no probs for me like i luved them but i want more rise now looking for new 1ns mine are low rise dh bars nice bars like nice and strong
  • 10
yeh same here actually, i had insanely narrow bars on my old bike then coming to my new one it felt like the bars were moving by themselves when i pedalled.. but i'm used to it now and when i ride my old bike it just feels awkward.
  • 10
yeh i cant ride any bike with under 600mm in lenth
  • 10

  • 10
dont u not need a chain tensioner when u have a half link
  • 10
no its the frame that makes u not need a chain tensioner
  • 10
those are vertical? is that why
  • 10
 nice one
is it because of the vertical drop outs?
  • 20
nope , its so fucking heavy and the cranks are brand new and broke today on the way home from my dj's and just doesnt ride nice at all
  • 11
unlucky mate how did they brake my old stp was well light what else is heavy on yours except from the forks
  • 10
wheels are so heavy and i dont know , pedal just came off on the way home and wont go back on but the guy in shop said he put them on backwards so ill try switch em around and see . but either way im gona get the new bike. and yeah this was real light when i first got it
  • 10
stp frames weigh in at 2.21 kilos, i rang giant and thats what they said cuz i was curios about mine!! so it cant be the frame weighing it down
  • 10
oh right , yeah i always knew the frame was light cause when i got the bike stock it was very light
  • 10
yeah i recon if you get ns then put those forks and brake on it
  • 10
yeah , dnt tink ill put brake on cause i dnt need a hydraulic
  • 10
dosent i come with rim brake?
