yes cove is on private land, but so is cafe, it's open to public for walikng ect... but not for riding, you need permissoin to build AND ride on f.c land. so if you dont like people turning up at cove font bother turning up at cafe with a bike
  • 11
sorry to burst your bubble, but thats incorrect.
  • 20
If some of you bothered to watch the Mafia Jam video you can see just how well this jump works, how far down the ramp the landings are, where the other trails run, AND how much fun everyone is having!!! Aggro kids that can't spell...don't you just love 'em! (Not you Ewart!)

I must say all the Bitching going on doesnt make me feel welcome to go up Haldon and ride. Ive read it here and on the SW thread. If anyone reading it from outside would be staying well clear of the place and heading over our place SW Extreme or Gawton and paying. So from a buisiness side of things keep it up but from the love of the sport keep it off the forums. I always thought this sport was chilled but Forums are making me see another side to it.

You build trails to your Finances available, So keep up the work People. Pics look great.
  • 41
lol just had fun reading all of these comments!
  • 22
ye its classic, people that dont know how to build bitching about a stunt thats built right and rides sweet and has been around for a good two and a half years.. lol, its a box landing, thats how it should be..lol

the jumps at the top? what the casum jump or what ever you called it..?
no my spades not red its not painted but im glad you thouhgt it was mine and handed it back..not..
  • 24
Na we smahed it up ,dont know how to build have you seen the photos ? Then have a look at cove (OH MY ) . Eveysingle man on are building team would out class your building . No need to get your nickers in'a twist because some dosent agree with you . Your 30+ right ? act your age not your show size.
  • 41
since when did building become a comp and involve teams? :S
  • 23
Since this guy criticized everything we built . And at are local we build in a team.
  • 23
callumm the kid talks smack so much his forgot the truth..

you need to stop talking sh*t.. kjmkjm
you never even been to cove ! lol
still not found the wall ride @ haldon to post the pic..lol, you talk sh8t.

love him bitching about a spot that the woodland riders guys came to get ideas for its spot, dont see that going on with any of your stuff that you built..
plus you do know that the stunt your trying to pick ats built by tom and the crew from mafia not me! what a tool you are.lol
  • 12
Did i say you built it ? no . And yes ive been to cove lol Or as you describe the best single track in the whole of the sw . Maybe you should have never slated are trails and talk shit . And what "shit" have i chatted here then ? Get ideas not to copy , they probaly went other placed to , as what ive rode of tavi this looks nothing like it part from the ladder drops(2) so yeah ? What a tool am i ? You condradicted your self as well ,"HALDONS NOT MY LOCAL" why were you up riding it the other day then ? chatting shit ( you can talk ) lol
  • 12
if youvebeen to cove you know its singletrack, not man made then..tool,and you know its private land and you still rode it, i think you talk shit.
slated our trails? you me and others all were shocked after you hyped how good you build to find some logs with a bit of dirt on top, i was not the only person that thought we were going to see an upgrade in the building from haldon past since you slated haldons old trails and the fc on the sw thread,so not a slating.
not my local? fact that i live more than an hour away and its not my local spot would be why, what a clown
  • 11
No offense Kieron, but do you really have to argue with elbry on everyhting? it gets really rather boring
  • 21
no offence elbry but that landing in the pic does look pretty sh*t compared to haldon. why you leave the logs pokeing out the side? maybe it'd be better if you put the stakes so its retaining the back and sides? plus why not put some more mud on it to make it more safer if you case? this is what im on about doing a half job.
  • 11
no offence to you mate as you have little building knowledge but im happy to help explain it to you. as stated, i did not build this, but ask anyone at the jam, this section works bangon and the mafia crew know how to build, if you had come to the jam you would know that a single track trail runs through this section and the back of the box landings the berm to the other track. the woods to retain the dirt, no need to over fill, this is not a pile of logs with some dirt on top, the lower sections part of the natural lay of the land, mafia boys dont need to build sections for all levels, its a private compound, if you landed that far up the landing, its maybe not the jump for you.
  • 10
urhm yes it is, we have just been talking to tim about it, he is on about fencing off our riding area, i think he knows a little more about forestry laws then you
  • 11
right now your not allowed to ride at cove as the woods are worked. fencing off the area at haldon be a good thing, stop dog walkers and mini bikes from trashing it.
  • 20
Umm wasnt going to say any thing but...This jumps feckin sweet. As Elbry says, he didnt make it. Myself and a few others did. It doesn't need any more mud thanks. It rides perfect. Its taken well over 300 hits and no ones ever crashed it or had a shit landing. If ya hitting the log you aint going far enough. Most people land a good 3 feet down from the log on the 15 ft long landing which you cant see. So step down. It was full to the top but has settled naturally. The take off is made from reclaimed timber and nails. its been there over 2years and its solid and works a treat. Recycling in effect. Its private land so we can build what we like, when we like, and ride it how we want. After all its about having fun on your bike not how pretty ya jumps look?
Fancy a ride to see for your slef drop me a line. Or dont. Cheers. Ewart.

looking at the comments kjmkjm does sound very hostile.
  • 13
ye his posts never seem to help get people to be involved with him or help him..
  • 14
plus i think the lads got a man crush on me as im even his pod, he is that sad. sorry mate im married .lol
  • 22
nice big jump, but some more mud on the landing?
  • 21
 why?
  • 21
 and no
  • 21
just seems like it should have some more dirt on it to build it up to the log = more slope so softer landing? just makes sense that's all
  • 30
no need, as you can land more than 6foot further down the tranny, only time you land at the top would be if you just about case it, what the odd rider did on there first go at the jam, so no, no need.
  • 21
well why not take of the top log? just looks like a half job like you did at cafe
  • 21
lol, log keeps the dirt in and stops riders from blowing the back of the landing when they come up short.. half job, please tell me more as you sound like a di*k right now? how come you did not come and show you skills last week...
  • 12
Because he had a better place to ride Wink . And why not fill it all in and finish the jon rather than leaving a log showing and more dangerous ?
  • 24
that's what the log is for to stop the back from breaking up. so why not use mud to cover up all of it? I didn't turn up last week cause nothing really attracted me to come. half job is when you practically only make things so it's ridable but doesn't look/feel that good to ride. also I'm fully commuted to building at cafe side cause no-one else is going to do it apart from our group
  • 32
cover it, no point kids. better place.. lol, ye everyone that came said that they had a better spot to ride last sunday! not!
"cause nothing really attracted me to come", i thouhgt you were a freerider..lol
"half job is when you practically only make things so it's ridable but doesn't look/feel that good to ride"
what did i build at the cafe then what was half a job, think you have your wires crossed lads.
"building at cafe side cause no-one else is going to do it apart from our group", good for you, i think thats what most do at there local spot, keep it up.
  • 12
yer I am, don't get me wrong I'd like to try it but the quality of build doesn't look that good from the pics before as things don't lookproperly finished like this landing and the quality of wood for the ladder drop. didn't you build the jumps rigth at the top?? cause we found your red shovel the other day around there.
  • 12
Chicken wire wood ? If your gonna build shore why not invest into western red ? Instead of some kind of tanalized wood ?
  • 21
lol, its been going for over 2 years kid, if you were at the event you know how long that wires been on it! lol, but you failed to sack up. how much hardwood have you paid for?
  • 21
Check time - Didnt say anything about the duration of the wire.
"If you was at the event" Why would i be ?
"how much hardwood have you paid for" We dont pay for any as we are building with f.c and help them out and get them a higher rate of people at haldon , so really ive paid for loads with my spare time and work where i could be trail whoring.
  • 22
you questioned the wire.. if you was at the event you would know why, simple as.
since you call yourself a freerider and the mafia jam being the biggest freeride event in your area, and the only time you would of ever riding it, think you would if you could..

i asked how much you have paid, not we? your attitude im sure puts people off wanting to be part of what you do with what you post on the sw thread. so thats a no to buying wood and as you showed in the sw thread, your not sure what hardwood is.
  • 22
if I'm right it's been the only freeride event in this area for a while, so the biggest most probs.
  • 21
ye all the others have been small
  • 20
Haha these comments crack me up lol Elbry it looks sweet, ignore the little kids above, I know how much effort it is to build northsore that works. You have done a fantastic job with it Smile Shame I missed the Jam but I couldn't get down there Frown Will be looking foward to attending one in the summer if possible? Thanks A.A.
  • 20
ye the mafia jam was a fun event and plans are already in the works for another later this summer, (i will keep you posted as its not going to be blasted all over the netWink ). as for the trail, its sweet. funny seeing as the people moaning are the few local lads that were no shows and have never rode the spot.. Smile
  • 20
Thanks, I'll look foward to it Smile A.A. tup
