Life Cycles; New Movie Promo of Matt Hunter Grenading a Berm; i did not take this shot, nor have anything to do with life cycles, i wish. just like all of you. I liked that red bull gave there footage away to edit with, I will be trying to do the same thing, I am going to shoot a bunch of stuff, and upload all the raw files on the net so you all can download and make your own edit
I will use www.mediafire.com to upload the hdr files for you all to play with, and I will write a little article about it, so you know what is going on. It would be cool to see what ppl will do, i am big on working together, and i hope that I find one person that makes and edit that inspires me to do something really cool, or at least expose some person for being a really good editor, i bet there is tonz of kids with crazy ideas, it would be cool to hear and see their ideas. I know most ppl will have a very basic editor to work with the video files so they can use windows movie maker, or final cut pro, it is up to them. but it will level the playing field, i have been thinkin about that for like 3 months now
Filemail.com, I'll need your email though... does mediafire allow you to upload without requiring an email and then I'd be able to send a link to the download page?
I can send a Native DNxHD (Avid Codec) which is 1080p24 115mbps, 4:2:2 compression, the format I use for editing in my Avid system, extremely good format for multiple generations of rendering effects.
I can also go all out and just do a quicktime uncompressed (like a TRUE uncompressed???), but that's a massive amount of gigs.
OR I could just send you the ORIGINAL AVCHD files (clocked at 25mbps, native 24p) that are straight from the camera, I have backups that I keep. That way you can transcode it to a known working uncompressed file for your programs.
give me both the original avchd and the first one, the avid codec, send me the link to the web page at, [email protected] thx man I am stoked I have not had any 25 mbps footage ever, I would love to play with it
Haha compling the footy now. What you need is some Panasonic P2 footage, 100mbps DVCProHD, fastest format of video to work with as far as going in and out of the editing software.
I'll use filemail.com, it is free and offers up to 2 gb uploads, but it's a bit slow on the uploading and downloading)
