And you ride???? 'A piece of junk' as you put it.. Yes....they are FoxF80RL forks on my Raleigh, but I wanted to rebuild the bike how I wanted to after all, I aint got a few thousand sittin freely around to buy somethin like a Lapierre or a Giant. I'm usin what I have available to create something unique that aint been done before.

Since that pic was taken, then bike has gone single crank ring and gained a pair of white Halo wheels shod with 26x2.35 tyres, so what? We are all free to do as we wish when it comes to MTB'ing an so I do as I wish with my machinery.

 this
sure the frame isn't a dead expensive carbon XC frame, if he's happy with it, it doesn't matter

oh and a tip if your wanting to save weight, get a air shock if you can, much lighter than that coil Smile

I'm intendin to get a Fox Float rear shock 165-200mm will fit the gap quite nicely. And thanks, I do enjoy ridin the bike, and it's a real sweet handlin piece of kit which in it's unfinished form made it into the MBR Summer Special in the Letters section as Star letter, so can't be THAT awful for all those who condemn it because of the frame's lineage.

hehe noice Big Grin i imagine it would handle quite well with that low BB Razz

do you want a sram X4 Shifter and a Sram X5 deraileur? they would be alot better if your riding to work and offroading etc than the ones you have at the minute, also they weigh hardly anything.

She does handle really well, very fast and easy to ride. The bb itself is a Truvativ GigaXPipe external bearing bit of kit, gonna go ceramic eventually.

I ride her for lots of things, from going to and from work to offroading and serious onroad mileage too. Hence the sheddin of so much weight

I aint buyin a new frame or swingarm, the geomtery is spot on for what I use the bike for, so am basically rebuilding the bike around the frame, making adjustments and tweaking it. Buildin the bike Raleigh never will. She'll look total when repainted, but is looking awesome as is now
