 im thinking lighter and theyre trying to competer with the nwew fox stanchions ... and theyre uglier ... but as long as they perform better i think that should outweigh it

 They have DLC on the stantions (diamond like coating) to reduce friction, as it holds oil better. This makes it more slippery basically:P

 black stanctions on boxxers look awsome an supposed to last longer the original are jus rubbis same as the fox stanctions as they wear very easily unless serviced after every couple of rides
