 you want to use as little sand paper as possible then polish it with chrome polish. look how shiny this one turned out www.pinkbike.com/photo/3511916

by the way, did you not have any rust showing because moisture from the air gets under the laquer when you spray it, and it still goes rusty after a bit of time

 the frame, not anything else love my new forks and want all the other parts black tbh. might look at some designs on aftermarket frames and strip some parts so it looks bit like that if theres any decent looking ones

 ok, if you do raw your frame make sure you put a clear coat over it, as it will rust easily.

 Once i used paint stripper, it only took about 1-2 hours, but i just done it a bit at a time.

 Just put loads of thin coats of laquer on and it will be fine.

 what did you do to get it to come up that nice, most are just a dull grey you have to polish or use abrasive wool or sumit?

 Used sandpaper, then used wet and dry sand paper.
