They work, but I have to hit it a few time for them to catch. So I had a set of down tude sifters so I put them on. But other then that they work. That only happens when you are trying to shift down. I shifts up fine and its only the rear. I have worked in a shop too but we only work on mountain bikes. Did you see the rest of the pics.

 are the shifters (on the handlebars) not working? I use to work at a bike shop and saw these older shifters get gummed up inside and stop working, is that the case with these?
