Actually it's pretty darn heavy for an aluminum bike. Heavier than my 6.5" travel all mountain bike

Yeah, but also a 6" travel fork and 6.5" travel frame. An aluminum hard tail should weigh less than 30 imo. I got my Jackal down to 25 lbs with gears.

Really? Thats very light for a am/fr frame... But there are others dj frame that are heavier than that so that frame is really not the heaviest. Man, I love your jackal.
