to me, this bike has lines that resemblance the nissan GTR. one of my fav cars, the lines on this bike are so muscular ! surely one of the most awesome looking bikes out there! too bad i'm from india and i wont be able to buy one ! sheesh !
thats a nice looking frame. I wish I could afford to buy a new DH bike unfortunetly. disability sucks! I have been watching oneghost since I first saw the images of the Katana in 2008 or so, and I have been interested in your bikes since. Looking forward to where you go with your bikes in the future!
Thanks Alex! keep an eye and ear out for us. look for us on facebook too one ghost industries and one ghost industries racing. we are crazy small still and trying to get bigger (or at least big enough to make more bikes!) but we are not about to give up yet!
Very nice looking bike. Geo figures look real nice. What shock fits in there? 9.5x3.5? That would make for a pretty low leverage ratio. What about the suspension curve? Linear? Progressive? Sorry for the questions, I'm mostly just curious, as there isn't a whole lot of info on the net about this bike.
Thanks! you got the shock # right. the progression rate is variable throughout the stroke because of the floating suspension but it averages to 2.44:1. the suspension curve is linear with a ramp up at the end which give a bottomless feeling to it, it rails like a 4" bike, handles hits like a 10" bike and races like a 8" bike if that makes any sense. The suspension has a initial rearward travel and then goes vertical and on bottom out it comes back in. www.oneghost.com we are making a new web site now which will be done soon and by that time we will have figured out what everyone wants to see on it as far as information. We raced this frame all year and it was never off the podium so we know it is fast. our team mechanic even said it is "too fast" for him.
