Thank you! It was a masterful ride!
  • 10

  • 10
Yeah haha thats cool man ! Hehe
  • 10
loking sweet, I remember you asking about Birgit's Rocco air. Since when have you had the Rocco?
  • 10
hahahaha I have had 4 roccos!! both coil and air!!
I was asking because my old rocco air for my double blew up and I bought a fox which is like riding a bad dream for me comming from a rocco! So, last monday I ordered a new rocco for the double, should be here in a couple of days!!!
The think about the shocks with no piggyback is there is no air valve to adjust the (IFP)
which means I cant overhaul it myself!!
This bike the rune has the rocco tst that I have fully adjusted for my style and bike.Is as smooth as a coil now. Super plush into a firm bottom, very progressive!!
Thank you brother,
RideOn!
  • 10
Thank you for this very interesting piece of information, so I might consider a Rocco myself next time, if you and Birgit and GregBhudda say it's good, I must believe it, hahaha, RideOn!!
  • 10
hahahaha thank you brother!! but you have a rocco coil right!! I like the rocco air because I was having troble with the sping rate on my bottlerocket, I about 8 spings now, hahahah an air shock is very well adjustable in upping or lowering the sping rate without any harsh feedback! however I have a fox dhx for this rune and with the same overhaul I did on this rocco it still blows through it travel with ease, the rocco hold a firm bottom which I love!! The new vivid is looking cool but I would stay with the rocco!haahah RideOn mate!

sorry mate, what I have on my Wildsau is a silly old Manitou Swinger 6-way, I told you about the loss of pressure on the piggy bag, but my friend Gino, who is a DH racer (neon yellow Turner DHR this season, Nicolai Ion ST next season), is about to open a suspension tuning workshop, I'm looking forward to that.
  • 10
That sounds very cool! gino should be able to take care of you air loss!! Sometimes I forget things hahahaha I remeber now! The swinger is an awesome shock, I have used 2 in the past! Both I took out the SPV piston and swaped it out for a smooth progressive shim stack!! Your Wildsau has the horst link and migh be much smoother with shims over the SPV!! You should talk to Gino and get his opinion!! you might need a stiffer sping rate if you do so!! RideOn!

  • 20

  • 10
that sounds very cool buddy! the fox will feel great on your big hit! have fun too Niko!!
  • 10
Oh I see the magic stick ^^. Banshee is ma favourite ! Saddle... is it not too small ? ;D
  • 10
hahaha yes there is a magic stick! Banshee rocks man! Thank you!! the saddle is wide so it feels really good, I use this saddle on all my bikes, cheep wide and had good knee grip! RideOn!
  • 10
how are your bushings holding up? mine are crap (lower link) after 2 months...
  • 10
My lower link is producing alot of black greese every time I wipe it so I will just continue to put more fresh greese!! Thats on the lower link on the chainstay. Other than that everything is really smooth and it feels super great! Here in japan we have lots of rain and I know in poland you too have very cold snowy weather so Im a little concerned too!! But I think you need to keep freash greese in the lower link as it get lots of water and dust!! RideOn!
  • 10
the thing is mate that my lower link bushings are alrady worn and whole swingarm is a little loose and it knocks a little while pressing the saddle and letting it go while the suspension comes back up. So maybe replacing them with my factory kit will solve the problem but I'm a little disappointed with those bushings not lasting much - I mean two months?? Smile keep it safe mate!
  • 10
Wow that does sound bad mate!!
Yesterday I checked mine and took out the axels to see mine but the seem to be doing very well, I have been riding with this bike about 1-2 times a week for 6months now and the still are doing good.
Having a littl play in the links would make me crazy dude and after 2 months, no good!!
Whats a Factory kit? Do you make a busing kit? If so I would like some mate!!
Thank you for the cool information!
RideOn!!
  • 10
maybe dhx has something to do with those worn bushings - like You said - it's stiff as a wood stick and still bottoms out with ease so suspension pivots are always in more pain than with an coil shock or a isx/rocco air shock in my opinion. Not very active on small but sharp bumps so I guess instead of pushing the suspension it all hits the bushings beacause of the "stiffness" of the dhx. And im thinking now why oh why didn't I took a shot with an manitou isx or a coil shock! Man, it would be soo much nicer!

I have a bushing replacement kit, replacable derailleur hanger and some banshee stickers - all came out of the box with my frame. That is what I called a factory kit.
  • 10
Yes I had the same feeling with the dhx! I have herd lots of good about the isx and my roco is supper plush, If you have the chance a coil would be a good choice! There are lots of cool shock out now! I have been thinking an Elka would be a very good coil for this bike! I understand now! I have the same factory kit as well!! I have used the derailleur hanger and some of the bolts as the heads came off, that is a big pain! But I didnt get any stickers, hahah your lucky man!! RideOn!
  • 10
Elka seems like a good pick.
From what you say the rocco air would be great too!

You didn't get no stickers? Big Grin I guess banshee supplies better than mythic Big Grin Big Grin
  • 10
hahah yes no stickers, haaaha I guess because it says mythic giving my banshee stickers would be kind of lame, hahahah But I want stickers hahahha. Yes if I get a new shock for this bike Im thinking Elka for a coil over, but my roco is super awesome and am fully happy! Thank you for all the cool comments!! RideOn!
  • 10
Hey man, do you get full travel from your Roco? I only get 67 out of 70 mm before mine bottoms out...
  • 10
I get a good ride out of mine. I get full travel on big drops or weird jumps and stuff but most of the time its a smooth ride! I love the roco! I also added a bottom out bumper in my roco like on a coil so if I do bottom I dont feel it and the elastomer gives a nice plush feeling like I never hit bottom. rideOn!
  • 10
very cool. how's the new fork?
  • 10
The fox is feeling very good! super plush but very stiff!! I added some oil to the air sping as it felt too dual in the mid stroke, now it ramps up super and I dont even know its moving! Its also very easy to set up too, 180mm was a little too long so I knocked her down to 170mm which feel a little more playful!! RideOn!
  • 10
sounds awesome they look like very quality forks. actually i know that fox makes some amazing products.
  • 10
 Sweet machine!
Personally, I have never played with the forks internals.
How easy was it to shorten the travel and change their feel? Did you simply follow Fox's manual?
  • 10
Its super easy bro!! I dont use a manual as I have been overhauling forks and shocks for a long time now!! the feeling does not change as for the fork but the balance of the bikes geometry is different, 180mm would be great for pur DH FR but I ride this bike up down here there and all around and right now 170mm feels spot on!!! As for the travel adjustments I can teach you or explain as much as you like, just mail me anytime!!its super easy!! RideOn!!
  • 10
Thank man, be sure I'm going to use your knowledge Smile
  • 10
Cool!! If and when you need help let me know! Its easy but for you first time it can be tricky!! RideOn!
  • 10
looks great man! the new fox forks with the gold looks sick!
  • 10
yes very sick! I dont know if they are really smoother like advertised but its a very smooth fork for sure!!! RideOn!
  • 10

 awesome a rune dream frame
  • 10
yes she rides like a dreamy bike should!! Im a happy camper!
  • 10
what bar(handlebar) do you run, Sir? how wide?
  • 10
Im using the older easton havoc maybe a 09 model, the width is 710mm. When I first bought this frame I bought a 760mm bar to go with the recent fad yet it didnt suit me at all!
I felt very unbalanced and the bike felt like a tank! back to my normal bar and its a pleasent dream!!
RideOn!!

How about you? I noticed your into the funky trial bars, yes?
I know its all opinion but my bud Momo is a trial rider and he uses his bars for FR too!
He rides awesome so in both feilds so I think bars are all in you own personal feel!
  • 10
my Simtra(trials bike) has Echo bars, HUGE! i'm still not used to them...but i ride with pretty high rise bars, my Brodie has a gap bar, uncut, and the Kingfisher has a holtzfeller ultra high rise dh bar, aslo uncut. but i am practicing barspins on the Brodie, GOT EM!!! haha! i'll put it in the next vid, and give you props for bringin me into the 21st century! thanks Brother!
  • 10
hahaha wow you have tons of bars!! thats cool!! Im stoked you have learned barspins thats sweet!!! SineOn!

  • 10
 I love mate!
  • 10
 the forks are amazing !
  • 10
Yes, the 180mm fox float, they are pretty smooth!
  • 10
hahaha thank you man!! I can do what I can do,hhaaha sometimes its smooth somtimes it feels all wrong! hahaha but without a doubt 150mm of pure plush yet bottomless rocco rear travel match with the 170(I lowered it)mm of buttery smooth yet very stiff and stable fox float I riding in heaven!!! Im always blown away at how awesome the rocco is. very stable doent bob but super smooth in its first half then it ramps up for a big jumps and my heavy ass. I have enhanced the the endding stroke with a bottom out bumpper 15wt oil and about 220psi in the piggy back!! its smoother than a coil in my honest opinion!!!
RideOn!!
