my understanding was that the original stinger was so when you were crawling or w/e that if you fell in a hole you wouldnt actually fall in.

the style of bumper is called a stinger. well that is what the the big hoop is called. They are designed for lifting the front of the vehicle upwards over larger obstacles then what the tire size/ lift of the vehicle can handle. mine is mostly for looks but might come in handy in the grocery store parking lot. haha

97 cherokee sport. 5 inch lift. 31's. bushwacker flares. new floors welded in. bedlined floor. custom 2x6 steel rockers. custom front and rear bumpers. all new front heavy duty steering components. rebuilt front and rear axels. transfer case drop spacers. Custom rear quarter panel diamond plate guards. bed lined rear quarter panels and lower doors. cb radio. off-road lights. pretty much rebuilt everything and did a good amount of upgrading the list goes on
