at the end of the day alex its his opinion am not gonna lie a dont think this looks the best 24" but i ride 24" and a wouldent go back 26 its f*cking awesome , and if his bike rides better for him why does he need to change
nah well its quiet right amen i ride DH with my bike and i proper love my 24" personal choise but lyk a say you are both right the bike would look shit hot with 26" but 24" arent that bad alot better than a bighit 24 rear 26 front
yeah thats right, im not too bothered on looks, ive alway rode 24" and find it perfect compared to when ive rode a few 26" bikes. i travels miles to work everyday no problems at all, and no problems getting up steep hills, so i dont see the problem
with 26" you get a better top speed compared to 24" you get better acceleration 26 tends to roll better on really bumpy sections but on 24s you make up for this by pedalling more meaning you end up fitter because you are pedalling all the time. once you jump on a 26 and pedal...................your off haha quick as ever and you dont even tend to notice. jump on a road bike and its a total different story.
165mm cranks with a tyre size of 2.5 is spot on works out to be the same height as a 26" 1.5 tyre and there is plenty clearance. i spent months calulating mine and rides excellently. everybody who see's my bike and loves there 26"only rule at first think huh!!!!! until they ago on it and then they think ops i was wrong. just keep yours thoughts to yourselfs guy if you dont like it.
all my full suspension bikes have been 24" my gt chucker im building will be 24" its just the way we ride so all you people who think its wierd go turn around and walk away cos we could probably beat you any day
